Emma Smith was the sister of Laura Smith, therefore Emma Smith would have been my Great Aunt. She married John Perkins and they had a daughter called Mary who married John (Jack) Whitehouse and they had three children, Derek, Nina and Lorna. They all spent much of their time in Australia.
The Whitehouse Family Above are
the children of Mary Whitehouse (no not the politician). Mary was the
daughter of Emma Smith, Emma Smith was the sister of Laura Smith (mom's
mother), therefore Emma was an aunt to my mother Marion Miller. This was an ARP (Air Raid Patrol) party. Top row 5th from the left is Jack Whitehouse. Mary Whitehouse
is 3rd row down, 4th from the left, she has her hands on the shoulders
of the man in front. My mother Marion Miller is pictured 3rd row down
on the far right.

This
photograph has seen better days but nevertheless it is still a piece of
history. It was taken in WWII at a public house in Leamore Lane,
Walsall. this pub is called the Crown Inn. It was run by Mr and Mrs
Norman Bird.
